Il tempio del Divo Romolo si trova nell'area archeologica del Foro Romano, a Roma, sulla Sacra via summa, alle spalle del cosiddetto carcer repubblicano, tra il tempio di Antonino e Faustina e la basilica di Massenzio.
In origine venne costruito come vestibolo circolare di accesso al Tempio della Pace , ma dopo l'abbandono del complesso imperiale, Massenzio, secondo una tradizione medievale, lo riutilizzò come tempio dedicato al figlio, Valerio Romolo, prematuramente scomparso nel 309 e divinizzato. In seguito, quando un'aula del Tempio della Pace venne trasformata nella basilica dei Santi Cosma e Damiano nel VI secolo, fu utilizzato come vestibolo della chiesa.
