6a tappa da Oekene (Roeselare) a Roma: Châtillon-Novi Ligure

Un viaggio attraverso il nord Italia dalla Valle d'Aosta, attraverso il Piemonte fino alla Liguria. Fatta eccezione per alcuni piccoli pendii, è un giro pianeggiante attraverso la pianura padana, dove spesso vengono seguiti lunghissimi rettilinei di strade secondarie e rurali. Si guida lungo canali di irrigazione e risaie. Può essere opprimente caldo e ci può essere molto vento. Se è contro di lui, allora sei sfortunato in un viaggio così lungo.
