Il Monumento Spencer è un obelisco restaurato lungo la strada per La Valletta, a Blata l-Bajda, Malta, eretto per il Capitano Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer, R.N., un cugino del Governatore di Malta,
Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby.
Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer nacque nella casa di famiglia Spencer ad Althorp, Northamptonshire, figlio del 2° Conte Spencer e di Lavinia, Contessa Spencer. Servì come segretario particolare del Re Guglielmo IV dal 1827 al 1828, e Spencer fu nominato cavaliere per i suoi servizi. Ebbe una carriera distintiva nella Royal Navy ed era molto apprezzato dagli uomini che comandava.
