L'area di approvvigionamento idrico di Sint Jansklooster comprende due diversi tipi di paesaggio: l'area di Kraggen e l'area su una cresta morenica, la Terra Alta. Il caratteristico serbatoio d'acqua della zona indica dove questi due paesaggi si fondono. Nell'area di approvvigionamento idrico, foreste, arbusti e terreni aperti creano un paesaggio variegato. Le foreste di querce sono alternate a lotti di faggio, acacia e l'ormai quasi scomparsa dal paesaggio olandese tiglio. L'area, con una superficie di 55 ettari, è una delle più grandi aree di approvvigionamento idrico di Vitens in Overijssel.
