Il Rijsterbos è una foresta vicino a Rijs in Gaasterland, nel sud-ovest della provincia olandese di Friesland. La foresta decidua gestita da It Fryske Gea è grande 172 ettari e si trova tra il Lago IJssel e il villaggio di Rijs. La foresta è stata creata nel XVII secolo come bosco da taglio da una famiglia di ragionieri di Amsterdam, la De Wildt. Essi abitavano la Huize Rijs, da loro costruita, conosciuta anche con il nome di castello. Anche il giardino realizzato attorno al castello faceva parte del Rijsterbos. Sul lato sud-est della foresta si trova la Séfonsterpolder.
