Il parroco Giacomo "Bruno" Spruit O.F.M. ricevette in occasione del suo cinquantesimo anniversario di professione nel 1934 dai parrocchiani una statua del Sacro Cuore. La statua fu rivelata l'anno successivo, domenica 30 giugno 1935, ed è situata accanto all'ingresso della monumentale chiesa di San Giuda Taddeo.
La statua è una figura di Cristo in marmo a grandezza naturale, vestita in un drappeggio. Indica con il dito indice sinistro il Sacro Cuore fiammeggiante sul suo petto. Il braccio destro lo tiene lungo il corpo, con il palmo della mano rivolto in avanti. La statua poggia su un basamento, nel quale è stata inserita un'iscrizione con il testo
