Il
mulino di Sant'Uberto fu costruito nel 1802 per volontà del contadino Willem Kerckhoffs
di Klein Genhout. Tra il 1814 e il 1826 il mulino fu chiuso e da allora
è un cosiddetto mulino a palo chiuso.
Nel 1928 il mulino
viene venduto dalla famiglia Kerckhoffs al mugnaio Louis Voncken.
Il mulino rimane in uso fino agli anni quaranta del secolo scorso e poi
inizia a decadere. Poiché vengono macinati solo pochi cereali, il mulino
si deteriora visibilmente. Nel 1970 il Comune di Beek acquista il mulino per il simbolico
importo di 1 fiorino. Il comune ristruttura e renova completamente il mulino.
Da allora il mulino di Hubertus è un monumento nazionale e una particolare
attrazione turistica.
