Il Teutenroute è un viaggio di scoperta verso l'antica cultura teutonica, che si estende sulle Colline del Limburgo e dei Paesi Bassi. I teuten erano mercanti e artigiani nomadi, un fenomeno nato alla fine del Medioevo. Nel frattempo, attraverserai il meraviglioso paesaggio delle Colline, che sicuramente offre ancora sorprese piacevoli.
Il Loop 1 ti porta oltre confine nei Paesi Bassi. Questo percorso lungo 80 km simboleggia la nascita e il fiorire dei teuten. Lungo il cammino passerai davanti ad alcune tipiche abitazioni teutoniche e imponenti mulini. La Casa di Vetro a Lommel mette in luce l'arte del vetro in tutte le sue sfaccettature. Alla Achelse Kluis potrai gustare il trappista Achel, birrificato nell'abbazia stessa. Inoltre, il cimitero militare tedesco a Lommel è una tappa impressionante.
