Il sentiero conduce per una distanza di 31 chilometri attraverso una splendida area nel cuore della provincia di Utrecht. Poiché le possibilità di camminare in questa zona erano limitate, la provincia ha intrapreso questa iniziativa nel 2003. Questo ha portato a un nuovo percorso continuo lungo il Kromme Rijn.
