I monti Carpazi o semplicemente Carpazi sono l'ala orientale del grande sistema montuoso centrale dell'Europa, che attraversa, con un grande arco di circa 1 500 km, i territori di Repubblica Ceca , Polonia , Slovacchia , Ungheria , Ucraina , Romania e Serbia .La sua lunghezza di 1.550 km ne fa il terzo più lungo gruppo montuoso europeo dopo gli Urali e i Monti Scandinavi .
