Il volo Lauda Air NG004 era un volo internazionale passeggeri regolarmente programmato tra Bangkok, Thailandia e Vienna, Austria. Il 26 maggio 1991 un Boeing 767-300ER che operava il volo si è schiantato a causa di un'attivazione non comandata del reversore di spinta sul motore n. 1 durante il volo, uccidendo tutti e 213 i passeggeri e i dieci membri dell'equipaggio a bordo. È l'incidente aereo più mortale che coinvolge un Boeing 767 e il più mortale in Thailandia. L'incidente ha anche segnato il primo evento mortale e la prima perdita dello scafo per questo tipo di aeromobile. Lauda Air è stata fondata e gestita dall'ex campione del mondo di Formula Uno Niki Lauda. Lauda è stato personalmente coinvolto nell'indagine sull'incidente. L'aeromobile coinvolto era un Boeing 767-300ER che era stato consegnato nuovo a Lauda Air il 16 ottobre 1989.
