Het stadhuis van oudenaarde werd gebouwd in de 16de eeuw en is in Brabantse laatgotische stijl gebouwd door architect Hendrik van Pede, bouwmeester van Brussel. De 40 m hoge belforttoren wordt bekroond door de legendarische figuur van Hanske de Krijger, een 2 m hoog koperen soldatenbeeld met de stedelijke banier. Het bevat uiteraard een belangrijke collectie verdures, maar ook zilverwerk en schilderijen van Adriaan Brouwer, Oudenaardes beroemdste kunstenaar. De Stedelijke Dienst voor Toerisme (een klein museum op zich) is in het Stadhuis gevestigd.
