Ramsel is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Antwerpen en een deelgemeente van Herselt. Ramsel was een zelfstandige gemeente tot aan de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1977.Ramsel was tot 1865 een gehucht van Herselt en werd dat jaar een zelfstandige gemeente. Vanaf de 18e eeuw was Ramsel vooral bekend voor zijn steenbakkerijen, waarvan de sporen in het landschap nog merkbaar zijn. Deze economische activiteit bleef bestaan tot midden 20e eeuw.
