Wist je dat in een stad als Brussel men sneller wandelt dan in bijvoorbeeld Gent. Maar dan weer minder snel dan in Londen. Dit merkwaardig fenomeen werd meermaals onderzocht en werd beschreven in het fantastische boek "Schaal" van Geoffrey West, 2017. De grafiek toont aan dat er bijna een sterke correlatie is tussen de grootte van sneden en de gemiddelde snelheid waarmee voetgangers ongehinderd stappen.
