Haspengouw is een landelijke regio rondom de steden Bilzen, Borgloon, Sint-Truiden, Tongeren, Borgworm, Hannuit, Geldenaken, Landen, Tienen en Zoutleeuw. Haspengouw heeft glooiende landschappen van zeer vruchtbare gronden die gebruikt worden voor landbouw en veeteelt. Het is een deel van de Leemstreek. Haspengouw wordt opgesplitst in Vochtig Haspengouw in het noorden en Droog Hasengouw in het zuiden. Vochtig Haspengouw is gekend voor zijn fruit- en zuivelproductie. Droog Haspengouw is gekend voor zijn suikerbieten en tarwe.
