Eeklo is een stad in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen. Deze stad in het centrum van de regio Meetjesland telt ruim 21.000 inwoners, die Eeklonaars worden genoemd.
Eeklo is de hoofdstad van bestuurlijk arrondissement Eeklo en van de Vlaamse regio Meetjesland. Het kreeg stadsrechten in 1240, onder Johanna van Constantinopel.
