De Slag rond het Fort Eben-Emael was een twee dagen durende korte maar hevige strijd op 10 en 11 mei 1940 in België, aan vier bruggen over het Albertkanaal en rond het Fort Eben-Emael. De slag leidde tot de overgave van het Belgische militaire fort.De aanval op het Fort Eben-Emael en de bruggen over het Albertkanaal en de schijnaanval op de KW-stelling paste in een Duitse afleidingsmanoeuvre om de aandacht af te leiden van de Slag om Frankrijk via de Belgische Ardennen. Dit alles droeg bij tot de mythe van mei 1940, waarbij Joseph Goebbels het beeld van een overweldigend superieur Duits leger versterkte en stelde tegenover de zwakke, verdeelde westerse democratieën.
