De Molenbeek stroomt hier het Park van Boom binnen en vloeit daar samen met de Bosbeek. Op het einde van het park duikt ze onder de A12. Ter hoogte van het station van Boom komt ze uit in de Rupel. Omdat beide beken in het verleden voor wateroverlast zorgden plande de provincie Antwerpen enkele ingrepen, zoals het overstromingsgebied Molenbeekse Plassen in Rumst.
