De 62 meter spitse toren siert de monumentale Sint-Pieterskerk. Deze dekanale kerk is het oudste monument van Tielt, en werd in veldsteen gebouwd. De kerk bevat een aantal opmerkelijke pronkstukken zoals de communiebank in rococostijl en de monumentale preekstoel gemaakt uit Deense eik. Van op de markt zul je er niet naast kunnen kijken.
