Het gebouw van de luchthaven van Deurne werd gebouwd tussen 1929 en 1932. Architect Stanislas Jasinsky zorgde voor een ontwerp in Nieuwe Zakelijkheid. Links van het luchthavengebouw vind je het Stampe & Vertongen Museum. Dat knusse museum draait helemaal rond de luchtvaart. Het dankt zijn naam aan Jean Stampe en Maurice Vertongen, de oprichters van een vliegschool en een vliegtuigenfabriek.
Naast een boel voorwerpen gelinkt aan de luchtvaart, vind je in het museum ook een V1-bom en een simulatie van de vroegere vliegtuigfabrieken. Maar waar het echt om draait, dat zijn natuurlijk de historische vliegtuigen die in het museum staan.
