Tijdens deze wandeling wandel je regelmatig langs fruitplantages want Geetbets is het hart van de Hagelandse fruitstreek. Begin mei zijn de meeste bloesems jammer genoeg al verdwenen. Maar, zelfs zonder bloesems is het mooi wandelen langs deze bomen. Je zal merken dat sommige plantages overdekt zijn met netten. Deze netten beschermen de bomen en de vruchten tegen hagel.
