De gemeente Oosterzele heeft in 2009 een perceel aangekocht van 30000 m² om een geboortebos in te planten en ook zijn er enkele speelelementen aangebracht voor de kinderen zodat een speel- en wandelbos voor het ganse gezin is. de wandelroute die vertrekt aan het geboortebos is ongeveer 3,5 km en te volgen met pijltjes.
