Metamorphosis van Oliver Laric toont de mutatie van een gewone pad, of Europese pad, naar een tafel. Laric ontrafelt deze transformatie grondig. Elke transformatiefase is een sculptuur op zich, van gelijk gewicht en belang. ‘Morphing’, de fysieke transformatie die een personage doormaakt, is een terugkerend thema in zijn video's, installaties en sculpturen. Door het afbeelden van creaties die minder gedefinieerd zijn door categorieën, maakt Laric plaats voor een nieuwe relatie van onderlinge afhankelijkheid die de superioriteit van de mens expliciet ongedaan maakt.
