Description by the author

Tussen Roeselare en Houthulst strekte in 1800 zich een enorm bos uit: het Vrijbos. Nu vind je er nog een relict van nabij Houthulst. Langs en in dat bos woonden de Boskanters, maar tevens de beruchte bende van Baekelandt.
