De route gaat eerst naar het Coyendanspark waar de voormalige kerk in haagbeuk uitgevoerd. Het is een herinnering aan de vroegere abdijkerk van de Sint-Baafsabdij, die in de 16de eeuw door Keizer Karel werd verwoest. Het is de plek waar de Leie in de Schelde vloeit.

Daarna gaat het langs het Sint Annaplein naar de Krook; een moderne bibliotheek en is tevens een cultureel knooppunt waar iedere Gentenaar welkom is. 

De route loopt langs het Kunstencentrum Vooruit in het imposante gebouw (Feestlokaal van Vooruit) waarin het is gehuisvest.

Vanaf de Verlorenkostbrug wordt er langs de Leie gelopen richting het Gravensteen, een bewaard gebleven 10e-eeuwse waterburcht met een arsenaalmuseum en een panoramisch uitzicht op de stad. Vervolgens kom je weer terug bij de startplaats.
