De "Eiger Noordwand" is mythisch. Deze rotswand wordt door veel klimmers beschouwd als de meest uitdagende beklimming in de Alpen. Samen met de Jungfrau en de Mönch domineert de Eiger het Berner Oberland. Deze wandeling, die in elk seizoen te doen is, loopt dicht langs de bekende Eigertrail, aan de voet van deze imposante bergen.
