Deze wandeling is ter ere van de wetenschapper Schrödinger. Het was hier in Arosa dat Schrödinger zijn beroemde golfvergelijking ontdekte. Hij kraakte het probleem in januari 1926. Einstein stelde dat Schrödingers golfvergelijking wordt beschouwd als een van de belangrijkste doorbraken in de natuurkunde van de 20e eeuw.
