Bocholt (Nederlands: Boekholt; Nedersaksisch: Bokelt) is een stad en gemeente in Duitsland, in de deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen. De stad telt 73.170 inwoners[1] en heeft een oppervlakte van 119,37 km².Bocholt ligt aan de Bocholter Aa, ten westen van het natuurpark Hohe Mark. Het heeft sinds 1222 stadsrechten. Het Historisches Rathaus is in Nederlandse baksteenrenaissance gebouwd.Bocholt vervult een belangrijke functie als winkelstad voor bezoekers uit de Gelderse Achterhoek.
