Die MV Werften Wismar in Wismar is een compact werf van het bedrijf MV Werften, wiens oorspronkelijke naam VEB Mathias-Thesen-Werft Wismar was, gewijd aan de communistische Rijksdagleden Mathias Thesen, die in 1944 in het concentratiekamp Sachsenhausen werd vermoord. Het werd in de jaren na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in verschillende stappen aan de Wismarer Baai gebouwd.
De werf heeft nog ongeveer 700 medewerkers, voor de crisis in de scheepsbouw waren dat er 1300. Het is daarmee een van de grootste werkgevers van Wismar. Tot de nieuw gebouwde faciliteiten in Wismar behoort ook het overdekte bouwdok, waarvan de hal 72 m hoog, 155 m breed en meer dan 395 m lang is.
