Het Johannes-Scharrer-Gymnasium is een stedelijk gymnasium in Neurenberg, dat zich in de directe nabijheid van het kasteel bevindt. De school is vernoemd naar de ondernemer en tweede burgemeester van Neurenberg, Johannes Scharrer.
Het Johannes-Scharrer-Gymnasium werd in 1834 opgericht als handelsvakschool op initiatief van zijn mecenas en latere naamgever Johannes Scharrer. De vernoeming naar Scharrer vond pas in 1965 plaats. Daarvoor heette het vanaf 1851 Stedelijke Handelsschool. Na de oprichting van het Hans-Sachs-Gymnasium en vanwege het hogere schoolgeld daalden begin 20e eeuw het leerlingaantal, totdat de school in 1910 zelfs werd opgeheven.
