De Alsenz-fietspad is een 49 kilometer lang rivierenfietspad met enkele korte stijgingen en een langere helling. Het voert van de bron van de Alsenz in Enkenbach-Alsenborn vanuit het Pfälzerwald naar het Nahetal, waar de Alsenz bij Bad Münster am Stein in de Nahe uitmondt. Het omzeilt de 686,5 m hoge Donnersberg in een wijde boog. Het loopt over de open heuvelachtige landschap door vruchtbaar land en langs wijngaarden, altijd in de buurt van de rivier de Alsenz. Het hele pad is uniform met het fietspad-logo bewegwijzerd en in beide richtingen gemakkelijk begaanbaar. Om natuurbehoudsredenen zijn enkele gedeelten niet geasfalteerd, waardoor het niet geschikt is voor racefietsen of inline-skaters.
