De Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands is een politieke partij in de Bondsrepubliek Duitsland. Ze bestaat op federaal niveau sinds 1950. De CDU is een centrumrechtse partij. Ze omvat gematigd-conservatieve, christelijk-sociale en liberale politici.
In Beieren bestaat de CDU niet; daar wordt haar rol gespeeld door de CSU. De CDU werkt landelijk samen met de CSU: al hebben de twee partijen wel hun eigen structuur, hun parlementsleden vormen een gezamenlijke fractie in de Bondsdag en voeren geen tegengestelde campagnes.
