Kasteel Gracht was oorspronkelijk geen ridderverblijfplaats, maar een ondergeschikt landgoed van het Huis Buschfeld en een leengoed van de abdij Dietkirchen in Bonn. Tijdens het Franse bewind deed Kasteel Gracht vanaf 1795 jarenlang dienst als militair hospitaal en raakte vervolgens in verval. In 1957 verwierf de gemeente Liblar het kasteel, het park en de tuinen. Tegenwoordig wordt Kasteel Gracht door de European School of Management and Technology gebruikt voor seminars.
Rondleidingen zijn niet beschikbaar voor individuele bezoekers. Groepsrondleidingen kunnen worden geregeld na voorafgaande afspraak met Rhein-Erft Tourismus e.V. Het kasteelterrein is toegankelijk voor publiek.
