Het natuurgebied Üntrop met een grootte van 10,9 ha ligt ten zuidoosten van Lenne in het stadsgebied van Schmallenberg. Het gebied werd in 2008 aangewezen als natuurgebied door de Hochsauerlandkreis met het landschapplan Schmallenberg Zuidoost.
Het NSG is het structuurrijke bovenste dalgebied van de Uentrop met de zijrivieren Erfmicke en Jaismecke. De Uentrop is een natuurgetrouwe middelgebergtebeek en linkse zijbeek van de Lenne. In het zuidelijke gedeelte van het NSG vormt zij gedeeltelijk uitgesproken meanders. De dalruimte wordt gebruikt als grasland. In de randgebieden zijn enkele bosgebieden in het NSG opgenomen. In het gebied komen zeldzame dier- en plantensoorten voor.
