Neubabelsberg is een villawijk die is ontstaan na de oprichting van het Duitse Keizerrijk en sinds 1939 tot Potsdam behoort. Het ligt in het oostelijke Potsdam, ten zuidwesten van de Berlijnse locatie Kohlhasenbrück en strekt zich uit van het S-Bahnhof Griebnitzsee langs het Griebnitzmeer tot aan de voormalige keizerlijke tuin Park Babelsberg met het daar gelegen kasteel Babelsberg.
De villawijk is ontstaan op het grondgebied van de gemeente Klein Glienicke in de Kreis Teltow, die in 1925 werd omgedoopt tot Neubabelsberg. De gemeente Neubabelsberg werd op 1 april 1938 ingelijfd bij de stad Nowawes, die tegelijkertijd werd omgedoopt tot Babelsberg. De stad Babelsberg werd op 1 april 1939 ingelijfd bij de stad Potsdam.
