De koningstoel is de beroemdste krijtrotsformatie van de Stubbenkammer in het Nationaal Park Jasmund op het eiland Rügen. De hoogte bedraagt 118 m boven NAP.
De koningstoel ligt 7 km ten noorden van Sassnitz en 4 km ten zuidoosten van Lohme. Via een in totaal ongeveer 11 km lange hoge wandelroute, die van Sassnitz naar Lohme loopt of vanaf de 3 km verderop gelegen grote parkeerplaats in Hagen bereikbaar is met een buspendeldienst, komt men bij het Nationaal Park Centrum. De toegang tot het centrum en daarmee de toegang tot de koningstoel zelf is betaald. De koningstoel op Rügen is een toeristenmagnet. Ongeveer 300.000 bezoekers komen elk jaar naar de koningstoel om van daaruit uitzicht op de Oostzee en de krijtrotsen te genieten. De toegang via het zogenaamde koninggraf wordt echter steeds smaller door aardverschuivingen. De stad Sassnitz plant daarom een nieuw uitkijkplatform.
