St. Georg is de evangelisch-lutherse parochiekerk in het midden van de stad Nördlingen. De laatgotische kerk, die tussen 1427 en 1505 werd gebouwd en met zijn ver zichtbare toren, de Daniel, het symbool van de stad vormt.
De raad van de stad Nördlingen besloot op 17 oktober 1427 tot de bouw van de Georgskirche. Het koor van de hallenkerk werd in 1451 voltooid, in 1454 begon de bouw van de toren. Het hoofdaltaar van Friedrich Herlin werd in 1462, de toren in 1490 voltooid. Met de voltooiing van het gewelf in 1505 was de bouw, die grotendeels uit Suevit bestaat, afgerond. Omdat Nördlingen onder Kaspar Kantz de Reformatie omarmde, werd St. Georg in de jaren 1523/1525 de evangelische stads-kerk.
