De Universiteitsbibliotheek Heidelberg is de centrale bibliotheek binnen het bibliotheeksysteem van de Ruprecht-Karls-Universiteit Heidelberg. Als wetenschappelijke universiteitsbibliotheek is haar taak het uitgebreide literatuur- en informatieaanbod voor de leden van de Universiteit Heidelberg. Tegelijkertijd biedt zij literatuur en informatie voor andere hogescholen in Heidelberg en voor de inwoners van de stad en de regio. Ze neemt deel aan de Duitse en internationale uitleendienst.
