De VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu eG is een regionaal actieve coöperatieve bank met het hoofdkantoor in Augsburg. Andere administratieve locaties zijn Kaufbeuren en Marktoberdorf. De VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu is op 1 januari 2019 ontstaan uit de fusie van de VR Bank Kaufbeuren-Ostallgäu eG en de Augusta-Bank eG Raiffeisen Volksbank.
De VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu eG is een coöperatieve bank. Net als bijna alle coöperatieve banken is zij voornamelijk actief op de desbetreffende regionale markt. Juridische basis zijn de Coöperatiewet en de door de ledenvergadering vastgestelde statuten. De organen van de bank zijn de raad van bestuur, de raad van toezicht en de ledenvergadering.
