De stadsbibliotheek Detmold is de gemeentelijke bibliotheek van de stad Detmold. Sinds 1985 bevindt ze zich in het neoclassicistische gebouw Leopoldstraße 5, dat oorspronkelijk de zetel was van het Leopoldinum, het oudste gymnasium van Detmold.
De voorganger van de stadsbibliotheek was de bibliotheek van de Bildungsverein in Detmold. De in 1881 opgerichte vereniging bood vanaf het begin een bibliotheek aan voor haar leden, die vanaf 1909 ook door het publiek kon worden gebruikt. De boekencollectie werd in november 1935 door de stad verworven en ging in april 1940 in het bezit van de Landesregierung over. De verblijfplaats is onbekend.
