Het Observatorium Hoher List is een observatorium ongeveer 60 km ten zuid-zuidwesten van Bonn, nabij de stad Daun, op de berg Hoher List gelegen in de Eifel.
De Bonnse sterrenwacht werd opgericht door Friedrich Wilhelm August Argelander. Zijn vriendschap met de Pruisische koning Friedrich Wilhelm IV hielp hem bij de bouw ervan, die plaatsvond tussen 1840 en 1844 onder leiding van Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Argelander ging de geschiedenis in door zijn beroemde Bonner Durchmusterung, die resulteerde in een sterrencatalogus met 325.000 sterren.
