De kerk St. Elisabeth is de rooms-katholieke kerk in Tangerhütte, een klein stadje in het zuiden van de Landkreis Stendal in Saksen-Anhalt. De naar de heilige Elisabeth van Thüringen vernoemde kerk behoort tot de parochie St. Anna in Stendal, in het dekenaat Stendal van het bisdom Magdeburg.
Met de invoering van de Reformatie werd de regio evangelisch. Met de bouw van de ijzerfabriek Eisenwerke Tangerhütte van 1842 tot 1845, dicht bij de rivier de Tanger en het dorp Vaethen, trok een groot aantal arbeidskrachten naar het tot dan toe voornamelijk agrarische dorp Vaethen, dat zich hierdoor ontwikkelde tot een industriële locatie. In 1928 kreeg het dorp zijn huidige naam Tangerhütte en in 1935 het stadsrecht.
