De Bitterbachkloof ligt in het noordwesten van het stadsgebied van Lauf aan de Pegnitz in de Midden-Franken Landkreis Nürnberger Land in Beieren. Het is een kloof die door de smalle bosstrook hierheen wordt gesneden door de Bitterbach in het burgzandsteen.
De Bitterbachkloof begint aan de Brunnenweg in de Laufer wijk Rudolfshof, volgt de loop van de Bitterbach in zuid-zuidwestelijke richting en eindigt aan de straat Am Bitterbach in de wijk Kotzenhof.
