Aan de noordoostelijke uitgang van het dorp bevond zich een middeleeuwse kasteelruïne, waarvan het terrein vandaag de dag als archeologisch monument beschermd is.
Het beierse kadaster toont Kranzegg in de jaren 1810 met 31 haardplaatsen rond de kapel van St. Maria. De landbouwgrond is door erfopvolging sterk versnipperd.
Van historische bouwmaterialen zijn alleen een schuur uit het begin van de 19e eeuw en de Mariakapel in situ bewaard gebleven en als monumenten beschermd. Zie ook de lijst van monumenten in Kranzegg.
