Schwaney is een deelgemeente van de gemeente Altenbeken in de Duitse deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen, in de Kreis Paderborn.
In het dorp wonen ongeveer 2.700 inwoners.
Schwaney ligt ongeveer twaalf kilometer ten oosten van Paderborn aan de westvoet van het Eggegebergte in het natuurpark Teutoburgerwoud / Eggegebergte. Ten westen van Schwaney, wiens gemeentelijk gebied tussen 240 en 395 m boven NAP ligt, sluit het Paderborner Hoogland aan.
