In 2014 werd het bos en de paden opgeruimd, er werd stabilgranulaat aangelegd, zodat je met een mountainbike kan rijden. Er is ook een zeshoekig picknickhuis gebouwd.
Het bos heeft een lange geschiedenis, men weet onder andere dat het door de Duitsers werd gebruikt om soldaten te trainen in het camoufleren van hun voertuigen tijdens de oorlog. Deze gaten zijn nog steeds in het bos te zien
Er zijn ook 2 shelters bij het meer geplaatst. Er is een kampvuurplaats gemaakt en het hout kan vrij gebruikt worden als je een vuur wilt maken. Toiletten kunnen gebruikt worden bij het tennisclubhuis
