In het hoogste deel van het Binderup Å-systeem is er - net als in andere midthimmerlandse ovale valleien - veel drukwater, bronnen en bronnen aan de hellingen van de vallei. De kleine stroom hier is een van de meer waterrijke. De stroom wordt geboren uit een groter brongebied enkele honderden meters stroomopwaarts van de brug.
