In het noordelijkste deel van het Waddengebied ligt Ho Havn mooi ingekaderd door het schiereiland Skallingen aan de ene kant en de energiemetropool Esbjerg aan de andere kant, met uitzicht op de kliffen van Marbæk, de uitmonding van de Varde Å en het Waddeneiland Langli. Ho Havn is een veelgebruikte bestemming voor uitstapjes, zowel vanaf het land als vanaf het water.
Het landschap, de dynamiek en de biologische diversiteit van het Waddengebied hebben een "uitzonderlijke universele waarde" en zijn daarom door UNESCO aangewezen als Werelderfgoed.
