De parkeerplaatsen zijn ingericht waar eerder een silo stond op de Assens Suikerfabriek. Het gebouw van de suikerfabriek fungeert vandaag de dag als het gemeentehuis van Assens.
Vanaf de parkeerplaats is er toegang tot het unieke gebied dat bekend staat als de Aardbassins, naar de schuilplaatsen van het gebied, naar Arena Assens, naar de wakeboardbaan en naar de spoorfietsen.
