De Observatorium van Nice is een sterrenwacht gelegen in Nice, Frankrijk, op de top van de berg Gros. Het observatorium begon te worden gebouwd in 1879 door de bankier Raphaël Bischoffsheim. De architect was Charles Garnier terwijl Gustave Eiffel de koepel ontwierp.
De 76 cm refractor telescoop gebouwd door Henry en Gautier begon met zijn werking in 1887 en was de grootste in een privé observatorium en de eerste op deze grote hoogte. Hoewel het dezelfde opening had als de refractor telescoop van het Pulkovo observatorium in het Russische rijk, bevond de Franse telescoop zich op een grotere hoogte. Beide hadden de plaats ingenomen van de 69 cm telescoop van het Observatorium van Wenen, maar beiden werden een jaar later vervangen door de 91 cm telescoop van het Lick observatorium.
